DESCRIPTION:Walid Klibi is Professor of Supply Chain Management and Anal
ytics at Kedge Business School (France)\, and a founding member of its Cen
ter of Excellence in Supply Chain (CESIT)\, since 2011. He obtained his Ph
.D. in Business Administration at Laval University’s Business School in
Canada in 2009. He has since 2020 a habilitation degree in Applied Mathema
tics at the University of Bordeaux in France.  His research interests re
late primarily to Supply Chain design\, resilience and robustness\, distri
bution in omnichannel retailing\, and hyperconnected urban logistics\, wit
h a focus on stochastic modeling and optimization. Most of his research wo
rk is carried out in partnership with international companies in parcel lo
 gistics\, warehousing\, retailing\, pharmaceutical\, and aeronautical sect
ors. He is co-author of several international scientific and professional
articles\, and of an “award-winning” book in the field of Supply Chain
\, entitled “The Design of Value-Creating Supply Chain Networks”. He i
s currently appointed as a research affiliate at the MIT Center for Tran
sportation and Logistics (USA)\, an affiliated faculty of the Supply Chain
& Logistics Institute – Physical Internet Center - Georgia Tech (USA)\,
and a collaborating member of the Interuniversity Research Center on Busi
ness Networks\, Logistics and Transport (CIRRELT) in Canada.\nUrban parcel
logistics is undergoing rapid transformation driven by e-commerce growth\
, sustainability imperatives\, and technological advances. This seminar in
troduces Hyperconnected City Logistics\, emphasizing organizational models
  for dynamic-stochastic resource deployment—including ship-from-store fu
lfillment\, scalable multi-tier Physical Internet hub networks\, shared ur
ban spaces\, and freight-public transit integration. Drawing on advanced s
tochastic programs and bilevel models\, it underscores fine-grained\, data
-driven\, scalable decision frameworks enabled by rigorous problem framing
. The talk outlines pathways to resilient\, sustainable urban delivery net
works\, stressing how precise framing of uncertainties\, cross-tier intera
ctions\, and governance objectives (resiliency\, equity\, environmental im
pacts) unlocks robust\, implementable optimization solutions for real-worl
 d city logistics challenges.\n
