 cently emerged as a new paradigm to integrate optical functions into micro
 fluidic systems. This talk will focus on the recent attempt to exploit the
  optofluidics for photocatalytic water purification. I will show how the o
 ptofluidics helps overcome several fundamental problems of current photoca
 talytic technology such as mass transfer limit\, photon transfer limit\, e
 lectron/hole recombination\, visible light response\, oxygen deficiency an
 d long-term stability.
