DESCRIPTION:Markus Bredberg\n"Morality is herd-instinct in the individu
al" - Friedrich Nietzsche\n\nIf Nietzsche was right\, moral intuitions
are a group selection trait to resolve tragedies of the common without nec
essarily pointing to some universal moral truth. If nascent technology cre
ates new situations where only altruism benefits the collective\, do we ha
ve moral obligations to act against our current intuitions?\n\nWelcome
to a discussion evening on the intersection of game theory and ethics. Mar
kus Bredberg will initiate the evening with a 30 minute presentation\, int
roducing his "locality problem". The remainder is dedicated for a group di
scussion with snacks. We hope to see you there!\n\nExamples of questions:\
n- Is the complexity of our world making it harder to act morally?\n- How
much should we trust our moral intuitions on emerging issues?\n- Are peop
le giving up on acting moral?
