 wly-rotating Kerr-Newman black holes. The behavior of waves on extremal sp
 herically symmetric black holes and axisymmetric waves on rotational extre
 mal black holes has seen remarkable recent developments. I will discuss ho
 w these developments can be extended to the case of slowly-rotating Kerr-N
 ewman\, highlighting the similarities between the structure of the wave op
 erator at null infinity and the structure of the wave operator at the ex
 tremal horizon. \n
