DESCRIPTION:Aim:  The The Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) Program aims to s
upport outstanding\, collaborative research projects addressing major chal
lenges within human health and the sustainability of society and the plane
 t. The program is designed to enable ambitious\, long‑term\, interdiscip
linary research efforts that bring together leading researchers around a c
learly defined scientific challenge within selected thematic areas.\n\nNNF
is pleased to announce the release of the below calls on April\, 22 (*):\
n \n\n	Advancing Next Generation AMR Diagnostics for Lower Respiratory Tr
act Infections\n	Supporting interdisciplinary proof‑of‑concept researc
h aimed at developing rapid\, accurate and affordable diagnostic solutions
for lower respiratory tract infections\, with a focus on improving clinic
al decision‑making and combating antimicrobial resistance.\n	Heat and Hy
pertension – Understanding the Mechanisms of Interaction\n	Focusing on m
echanistic research to elucidate how heat exposure affects individuals wit
h hypertension\, integrating cellular\, animal and human studies with the
aim of improving prevention\, treatment and clinical management during ext
reme heat events.\n	Unravelling Electron Transfer Mechanisms in Hybrid Bio
‑Electrocatalysis\n	Supporting fundamental research to understand electr
on transfer between biological and synthetic systems\, enabling new knowle
dge relevant for efficient bio‑electrocatalysis and future electro‑bio
technology applications.\n	Harnessing Novel Earth‑Abundant Materials for
Sustainable Technologies\n	Aiming to develop and understand novel materia
ls based on Earth‑abundant elements\, supporting sustainable technologie
s that reduce reliance on scarce or critical resources through interdiscip
linary materials science and chemistry research.\n\n(*) Applicants are onl
y permitted to submit one proposal as main applicant across all four Chall
 enge Programme 2027 calls.\n\nFunding:       up to DKK 30 – 75 mill
 ion ( ~ CHF 3.7-9.2 million)\n\nDuration:      up to 6 years\n\nEligi
