DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the 2026 Peer Revie
 wed Cancer Research Program (PRCRP). Several award programs are available:
 \n\n	The Idea Award supports innovative\, untested\, high-risk/potentially
  high-reward concepts\, theories\, paradigms\, and/or basic cancer researc
 h. The advancement of knowledge in cancer research\, patient care\, and/or
  treatment options in the Military Health System (MHS) is critical to acti
 ve-duty Service Members\, Veterans\, other military beneficiaries\, and th
 e American public.\n	The Impact Award supports mature research that will h
 ave a near-term impact on clinical cancer care in one of the Topic Areas. 
 Applicants must consider how the research project will lead to the advance
 ment of knowledge in cancer research\, patient care and/or treatment optio
 ns in the MHS.\n	The Clinical Trial Award supports the rapid implementatio
 n of clinical trials with the potential to have a significant impact on th
 e treatment or management of cancer within at least one of the Topic Areas
 . Clinical trials proposed may evaluate promising new products\, pharmacol
 ogic agents (drugs or biologics)\, devices\, clinical guidance\, and/or em
 erging approaches and technologies. Proposed projects may range from small
  proof-of-concept trials (e.g.\, pilot\, first-in-human\, phase 0) that ev
 aluate the effects of interventions or inform the design of more advanced 
 trials to large-scale trials (up to phase III) to determine efficacy in re
 levant patient populations.\n\nAll applications must specifically address 
 at least one of the Topic Areas. The FY26 PRCRP Topic Areas are listed at 
 the end of this announcement.\n\nFunding:      \nIdea Award: max. $60
 0K\nImpact Award: $1.5M-$2M\nClinical Trial Award: max. $4.5M\nNote: Cost 
 caps are total costs (direct plus indirect costs). In accordance with EP
 FL guidelines\, budgets should include a 20% overhead\, and the total budg
 et must remain within the grant’s maximum allowable funding\n\n\nDuratio
 n:     \nIdea Award: 2 years\nImpact Award: 3 years\nClinical Trial Aw
 ard: 4 years\n\nEligibility: Applicants from international organizations o
 r institutions are eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restri
 ctions. Independent investigators at all career levels are eligible.\n\nHo

 y should contain contact information\, a letter of intent\, and a list of 
 collaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full applica
