DESCRIPTION:Prof. Lu\, Hang <hang.lu@chbe.gatech.edu> \nMany important p
hysiological processes such as aging arise from activities and events span
ning different time scales. Yet typical measurements only capture snapshot
s or brief recording windows\, and contain little information. To better u
nderstand these processes\, we need to address the following questions: W
hen (and for how long) do we record to resolve aging-relevant dynamics?
What behavioral phenotypes (beyond locomotion) capture changes? How do
we scale such measurements across many individuals while having exquisite
control? In this talk\, I will show how we measure behavioral dynamics ove
r long periods of time\, in many worms in parallel\, and under well-contro
lled conditions. I will also share how additional behavioral phenotypes ca
n be measured on a large scale beyond locomotion. Lastly\, I will share an
example of enhancing how behavior can be “expressed” in experimental
setups.\n\n\nThis Talk is part of the Bernoulli workshop Peering through
 Behavior into the Brain
