DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the 2026 Melanoma R
 esearch Program (MRP). Several award programs are available:\n\n	The Focus
 ed Program Award - Rare Melanomas supports a multidisciplinary rare melano
 ma research program of at least two\, but not more than three\, distinct b
 ut complementary projects. The completion of one project must not depend o
 n the completion of another project. Applications must propose a unifying\
 , overarching question that addresses a critical unmet need relevant to ra
 re melanoma research and/or patient care.\n	The Idea Award supports untest
 ed\, exploratory\, high risk/potentially high-reward concepts\, theories\,
  paradigms or methods. The intent is to generate new research avenues for 
 investigation. Novelty and innovation should be key aspects of the propose
 d project. All applications must specifically address at least one of the 
 Focus Areas listed in this document.\n	The Survivorship Research Award sup
 ports studies addressing melanoma specific survivorship by supporting a br
 oad range of innovative and impactful research that has the intended outco
 me of improving the health and well-being of melanoma survivors\, their fa
 milies and/or their care partners.\n	Team Science Award Supports new or ex
 isting partnerships between two or three PIs to address a single research 
 problem or question in a manner that would be unachievable through separat
 e efforts. All applications must specifically address at least one of the 
 Focus Areas listed in this document.\n\n\nFunding:      \nFocused Pro

  EPFL guidelines\, budgets should include a 20% overhead\, and the total b
 udget must remain within the grant’s maximum allowable funding\n\nDurati

 ons are eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Ind

 ntain contact information\, a letter of intent\, and a list of collaborato
 rs and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full applications will
