 italising on uncertainty summer school\, we have the pleasure to welcome t
 wo lecturers focussing on model uncertainty:\n \nJonas Warmuth is a struc
 tural engineer and researcher working at the intersection of structural en
 gineering and architecture. His work explores how digital tools can suppor
 t designers in the early stages of a project\, when requirements\, constra
 ints\, and even the structural concept itself are still evolving. At EPFL'
 s Structural Xploration Lab\, he developed Dragonfly3D\, an interactive de
 sign framework that helps engineers and architects explore structural poss
 ibilities rather than simply optimize predefined solutions. His research f
 ocuses on interactive equilibrium design\, form-finding\, and computationa
 l approaches that enable the exploration of large structural design spaces
  while incorporating real-world design constraints. Applications of this w
 ork include stock-constrained design and the integration of reclaimed stru
 ctural elements into new projects. Jonas studied Structural Engineering in
  Erfurt and Munich and is currently working as a practicing structural eng
 ineer at Schnetzer Puskas Ingenieure in Basel.\n \n\nValentin N. Hartmann
  a postdoctoral researcher in the Computational Robotics Lab at ETH Zurich
 \, and is working on multi-agent task and motion planning. He is intereste
 d in how to deal with uncertainty in planning\, and how to get robots to b
 e adaptive to changing circumstances. This includes learning-based methods
  and classical methods\, and finding combinations to leverage the strength
 s of either approaches. He did his PhD in Marc Toussaint’s LIS group at 
 TU Berlin\, where he worked on task and motion planning (TAMP) using optim
 ization techniques\, in addition to sampling-based planners\, with inspira
 tion from control theory. He was associated with IntCDC\, and was involved
  in several projects at the intersection of robotics and architecture.\n\n
