DESCRIPTION:Gudela Grote\, Jennifer Whyte\nOn the day 5 of the Capitalisi
 ng on uncertainty summer school\, we have the pleasure to welcome two lect
 urers focussing on social uncertainty:\n \nGudela Grote is Professor Emer
 ita of Work and Organizational Psychology at the ETH Zürich\, Visiting Pr
 ofessor at Politecnico di Milano and Senior Fellow at the Geneva Graduate 
 Institute. She received her PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology. 
 A special interest in her research are the increasing flexibility and virt
 uality of work and their consequences for the individual and organizationa
 l management of uncertainty. Application fields for her research are e.g t
 eamwork and standardization in high- risk systems\, effects of new technol
 ogies including AI on work processes\, and assessing and changing individu
 als' uncertainty and design mindsets. Prof. Grote is a Fellow of the Socie
 ty for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and member of the Swiss Na
 tional Research Council. In her various roles\, such as Past President of 
 the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology and member 
 of the scientific advisory board of the German Federal Institute for Occup
 ational Safety and Health\, she strives to promote evidence-based practice
  and policy-making.\n \n\nJennifer Whyte is a Professor at the University
  of Sydney in the School of Project Management and also also a Professor a
 t Imperial College London. Her research is on future-making\, design and d
 igital innovation\, and she seeks to develop new understanding of large-sc
 ale organizing to make futures through empirical work in construction and 
 infrastructure projects. She has advised governments\, industry leaders\, 
 and international organisations on future-focused strategies\, serving on 
 the main board of the UK Construction Leadership Council and co-curating t
 he World Economic Forum transformation map for engineering and constructio
 n. Her work has been published in leading journals including Journal of Ma
 nagement Studies\, Long Range Planning\, Organization Theory\, Organizatio
 n Studies\, Project Management Journal\, Research Policy and Strategic Org
 anization. She is a Senior Editor at Organization Studies.\n\nThe titles o
