DESCRIPTION:The EPFL AI Center and the Swiss AI Initiative have launched a
  Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme to give outstanding and highly motivate
 d young postdoctoral researchers the chance to collaborate with EPFL Facul
 ty members and to conduct research to further the capabilities and applica
 tions of AI techniques in a variety of scientific domains. The 3rd call is
  now open with a submission deadline of 9 November 2026 17:00 (CET). \n\nF
 ellows will work with several laboratories at EPFL and will be granted amp
 le freedom to develop their own research agenda. This will include contrib
 uting to and participating in various community activities and strategic i
 nitiatives associated with the EPFL AI Center.\n\nKey goals of this Fellow
 ship are to:\n \n\n	Advance cutting-edge AI research\;\n	Promote ethical 
 AI development ensuring fellows critically evaluate issues such as bias\, 
 privacy\, and fairness in AI research\;\n	Prepare for the next generation 
 of leaders in AI\;\n	Spark interdisciplinary collaboration between the EPF
 L AI Center’s community.\n\n\nThe 3rd call for proposals is now open and
  the deadline for the submission of the applications is 9 November 2026 17
 :00 (CET).\n\nWho can apply: \n\nApplications are encouraged from research
 ers at the postdoctoral level.\n\nApplicants must have obtained a PhD dipl
 oma in computer science\, physics\, engineering\, applied mathematics\, or
  another field relevant to artificial intelligence\, no more than two year
 s before the submission deadline.\n\nDoctoral students in their last year 
 can also apply\, but they will need to have completed their PhD degree by 
 the time they start their fellowship project.\n\nThis call is open to appl
 icants of all nationalities. No age restrictions apply.\n\nFunding and dur
 ation:\n\nThe fellowship is granted for a maximum period of two years\, an
 d it covers a contribution to the salary of approx. 50% (EPFL salary scale
 s apply). The remaining part of the salary is covered by the EPFL host lab
 oratories.  A maximum amount of CHF 5’000 per fellowship year can be gr
 anted for research costs\, open research data costs\, open access publicat
 ion costs\, travels and conferences.\n\nHow to apply:\n\nThe support of th
 e host Professor(s) needs to be secured before submitting the application 
 and this commitment only applies if the fellowship is granted.\n\nTo ident
 ify an EPFL host Professor\, please contact the Faculty members affiliated
  with the EPFL AI Center included in this list\, by sending your CV and a 
 short abstract of your project in order to discuss a potential collaborati
