DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT: As the call allows only a limited number of proposa
 ls per institution\, candidates must first send an Expression of Interest

 and submission instructions here:\n\nGoals\n\n	Understand how environments
  and context influence health and shape functional ability in older age.\n
 	Examine how such factors affect whether healthy behaviours are easy or di
 fficult\, whether opportunities for participation exist\, and whether olde
 r people can live independently.\n	Support conditions that enable people t
 o remain healthy\, contribute to society\, and pursue what matters to them
  for as long as possible.\n\nResearch Scope \n\n\n	Go beyond single-cause 
 thinking. Study how environmental and contextual factors interact to shape
  functional ability in later life.\n	Show the interaction\, not just the f
 actor. Capture pathways of risk and resilience\, and identify which featur
 es are modifiable enough to act on.\n	Match method to ambition. Use system
 s thinking in established designs\, or complex-systems methods directly an
 d translate findings into scalable\, context-sensitive solutions.\n\nPrior
 ity Focus Areas \n\n\n	Changing the narrative of age and ageing\n	Heat and
  out-of-home mobility & activity in later life\n\nOut-of-scope topics\n\n\
 n	Research investigating the biology of ageing to slow\, pause\, or revers
 e the ageing process itself.\n	Biomedical research on the aetiology\, diag
 nosis\, or therapy of specific age-related diseases.\n\nEligibility\n\n\n	
 At least two project partners (PI and co-PI) from different institutions.\
 n	PI must be a permanent employee \n	A maximum of 3 co-PIs is allowed. Ma
 y be non-permanent employees.\n	The number of collaborators is not limited
 .\n	Co-PIs and collaborators from non-listed countries are permissible.\n\
 nFunding and Duration \n\n\n	CHF 75\,000/year\n	Projects can run for up to
  4 years\n	Eligible budget categories include:\n	\n		Salaries (for researc
 h staff – salaries for PI or other senior contributors to be covered thr
 ough their employment)\n		Consumables\n		Knowledge transfer\n		Stakeholder
  engagement\n		Equipment\n	\n	\n	Overhead is not Eligible\n\nDeadlines\n\n
