DESCRIPTION:Aim: The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation (BBRF) is the wo
 rld’s largest private funder of mental health research grants. BBRF awar
 ds research grants to develop improved treatments\, cures\, and methods of
  prevention for mental illness. The BBRF Distinguished Investigator Grant 
 provides support for experienced investigators conducting innovative neuro
 biological and behavioral research in diverse areas of neurobiology. Areas
  of particular interest to the Scientific Council's Selection Committee in
 clude patient populations with unique or unusual characteristics and centr
 al nervous system developments.\n\nDuration:       1 year\n\nFunding:
          $ 100\,000\n\nEligibility: Applicants must be a full profe
 ssor (or equivalent)\, and maintain peer reviewed competitively funded sci
 entific programs.\n\nHow to Apply: Applications should be submitted online
  and must include the following: face sheet\, description of the project\,
  list of key personnel (incl. PI)\, budget\, list of other funding sources
 \, and description of lab resources and environment.  Budgets should incl
 ude 8% overhead. Notifications of awards will be delivered in March 2027.\
