CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:Biodiversa+ is launching a new call for projects addressing bi
odiversity and novel ecosystems. Swiss-based researchers can participate.\
 n\nThe call supports transnational\, interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral
research and innovation\, bringing together diverse scientific fields\, bu
siness and finance. Projects should connect science\, society\, policy and
practice to drive transformative change\, actively engaging stakeholders
and citizens throughout the process.\n\nThe call is arranged into three ma
in topics that partly overlap. Project proposals can address one or more o
 f these main topics\;\nTopic 1: Novel ecosystem functioning\nTopic 2: Path
ways to novel ecosystems\nTopic 3: Biodiversity benefits and equity in the
context of novel ecosystem\n\nSupported by the SNSF\n\n	An international
panel will scientifically evaluate the pre-proposals and full proposals.\n
With the exception of self-financed partners\, all research partners in a
consortium will be supported by their own national or regional funding ag
ency.\n	Swiss-based researchers applying for financial support from the SN
SF to participate in this call must meet the eligibility requirements for
SNSF Project Funding.\n	Along with the application to Biodiversa+\, they m
ust submit an administrative application to the SNSF by the same submissio
n deadline.\n	Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the SNSF Admin
istrative Offices in advance if this will be their first time submitting a
n application to the SNSF.\n\nIMPORTANT!\n\n\n	The calls of the Bilatera
l Programmes of the Swiss Confederation\, Belmont Forum calls\, as well
as\, starting from now\, the European Partnerships and other multilate
ral initiatives\, are not considered as Project Funding grants and are
therefore not subject to the restriction of the maximum amount of parallel
running grants.\n	Even when the limitation in Project Funding is reache
d\, an applicant can submit a project within these instruments\, providi
ng that there is no scientific overlap between all the projects and that
the applicant is able to substantially contribute to all of them.\n\nThe
SNSF submission deadline for pre-proposals is 10 November 2026 (17:00 Swi
ss local time).\n\nFor additional information about the call\, please refe
r to the Biodiversa+ or SNSF websites\, or contact the EPFL Research Offic
 e.
