  \nDespite extensive searches at the highest collision energies\, the nat
 ure of physics beyond the Standard Model remains unknown.\nNew phenomena m
 ay instead reveal themselves through rare processes or feebly coupled stat
 es\, emerging as long-lived particles in the detectors.\nI will present a 
 programme exploring these complementary frontiers\, from heavy-flavour stu
 dies and long-lived-particle searches at the LHC to the dedicated hidden-s
 ector experiment SHiP\, and discuss how new analysis techniques and detect
 or concepts can extend our knowledge.\nI will conclude with perspectives f
 or the next generation of experiments at the FCC.\n
