DESCRIPTION:Gisella Vetere\, ESPCI\, Paris\, France\nMemories are not stat
ic representations but evolve over time through consolidation and their pr
ogressive reorganization across distributed brain networks. This process a
llows memories to remain persistent while also becoming sufficiently flexi
ble to guide behavior in novel situations. In this seminar\, Gisella Veter
e will discuss how memory engrams are reorganized from learning to remote
recall and how distinct neuronal ensembles contribute to the balance betwe
en memory specificity and generalization. Combining activity-dependent neu
 ronal tagging\, circuit manipulations\, and brain-wide analyses\, her rese
arch seeks to uncover how memories are transformed over time and how these
  transformations shape adaptive—and potentially maladaptive—behavior.\
