\nAbstract:  \nThe majority of atom-defined structures built to date hav
e been held together by extremely weak dispersion interactions and are the
refore unstable at room temperature. Moreover\, most such assemblies have
been fabricated on metal substrates that mask any interesting/useful elect
ronic properties of atomic (or molecular) assemblies. Patterned atomic dan
gling bonds on an otherwise Hydrogen-terminated silicon surface are robust
and unchanging to over 200 C and offer useful electronic properties. This
area was pioneered by Joseph Lyding >2 decades ago. Over the last 20 year
s we have doggedly pursued and overcome fabrication and measurement issues
related to dangling bonds and as well have advanced understanding of dang
ling bond assemblies. \nIn this talk I will demonstrate the near perfect
properties of a new scanning probe actuator. Unlike all other scanners thi
s device exhibits no discernible creep or hysteresis\, allowing a probe to
be rapidly positioned\, independent of previous movement history\, with 1
picometer uncertainty. This creep-free scanner allows ~10\,000x speed up
in fabrication rate because the time required for the tip to settle into p
osition has been reduced from hundreds of seconds to just milliseconds. \
nI plan to take you on a walk through our “hardware store” to show you
the singular tools\, techniques and devices we have at hand. We will go w
ell beyond familiar “hydrogen lithography” for spatially defined attac
hment to explore complex many electron proto devices such as error-free at
om defined wires\, diverse gates and the first atomic integrated circuit [
1\, 2]. Crucially\, any number of truly identical copies of these entities
  can be made.\n
