  5 different architects from 5 different European countries were asked to 
 give an insight into their work practice. Each office will present 3 proje
 cts in detail from the first sketch to the final construction plans. One o
 f the presented projects will be the office’s very first building\, whic
 h will help answer the \nquestion of how to start an architectural office
 . The other two projects will demonstrate the individual offices’ differ
 ent signatures and the different strategies they pursue to realize archite
 ctural ideas in the specific local context. The lectures will illustrate a
 n individual practical approach to architecture and provide an overview \
 nof the contemporary architectural trends in Europe.Herwig SpieglAllesWird
 Gut\, Wien\nSince 1997\, AllesWirdGut has been working on projects of diff
 erent scales – ranging from urban strategies to interior design. Their p
 ragmatic approach seeks to identify the potential of the given context. By
  seeing“problems” as opportunities\, new unexpected possibilities come
  to light. In recent years they have realized \nprojects such as the Zivi
 lschutzzentrum Innichen (2007)\, the renovation of the Festspielgelände R
 ömersteinbruch (2008)\, the Niederösterreich-Haus Krems (2010)\, and the
  Herzberg housing complex (2011).
