  different architects from 5 different European countries were asked to gi
 ve an insight into their work practice. Each office will present 3 project
 s in detail from the first sketch to the final construction plans. One of 
 the presented projects will be the office’s very first building\, which 
 will help answer the question of how to start an architectural office. The
  other two projects will demonstrate the individual offices’ different s
 ignatures and the different strategies they pursue to realize architectura
 l ideas in the specific local context. The lectures will illustrate an ind
 ividual practical approach to architecture and provide an overview of the 
 contemporary architectural trends in Europe.Maarja KaskSalto Architects\, 
 Tallinn\nSalto Architects is a Tallinn-based practice established in 2004\
 , renowned for works that blur the line between different levels of archit
 ecture. Their projects include the Baltic Film and Media School\, Tallinn 
 (2012)\, the Kesklinna School Extension\, Tartu (2007)\, and the Sports Ha
 ll of the Estonian University of Life Sciences\, Tartu (2009). They also t
 ook part in the 2008 Venice Biennale of Architecture with their “Gas Pip
 e” project.
