DESCRIPTION:Marcos Marino\, University of Geneva\nSome years ago\, it was 
 conjectured on the basis of physical arguments that the colored HOMFLY in
 variants of knots and links are related to an open or relative version of
  Gromov-Witten invariants. Through mirror symmetry\, these invariants shou
 ld be also encoded in an algebraic curve through a procedure called "topo
 logical recursion". In the case of torus knots\, this program can be made
  quite concrete. In this talk I will try to present the general ideas and
  expectations and then I will discuss the case of torus knots.
