 ble centralizers of unipotent elements we give a description of the method
 s used in determining these objects. The analysis is different depending o
 n whether the characteristic is good or bad. We show how it is different a
 nd give a characteristic independent description of these double centraliz
 ers which allows to computationally obtain these objects if both the chara
 cteristic and the rank are small enough.
