DESCRIPTION:Daniele Sepe (IST Lisbon)\nHamiltonian Dynamics SeminarAbstrac
t: The Liouville-Arnold theorem gives the existence of local action-angle
coordinates near regular orbits of a completely integrable Hamiltonian sys
tem. The global counterpart to action variables is an integral affine stru
cture\, as observed by Duistermaat and Nekhoroshev independently. In this
talk\, we shall introduce a notion of singular integral affine structures
(still smooth in some sense) for focus-focus singularities\, which have re
cently come to the fore for their topological\, geometric and symplectic p
roperties. This is joint work in progress with Rui Loja Fernandes.
