DESCRIPTION:Rémi Doué\, Granta Design\nBio: Granta Design is a spin-off 
 from Cambridge University\, Engineering Department. Its resources called 
 “CES” are used in about 800 universities and colleges worldwide to sup
 port materials-related courses in almost all fields of engineering\, desig
 n\, processing\, science and sustainability.\nMotivating students about ma
 terials in introductory and advanced courses\nWhatever the field of applic
 ation students need to understand the science behind materials properties 
 but also have to be able to use them for practical design projects.\nBased
  on the use of the teaching resource CES EduPack\, Rémi Doué from Granta
  Education Division\, will present ideas to support your existing courses:
 \n-  Introducing materials to 1st and 2nd year students in a visual way\n
 -  Exploring the science behind materials properties\n-  Case-study: sim
 ple materials selection project\n-  Case-study: analysing the environment
 al impact of products or buildings\n-  Simulating properties and performa
 nce of materials that your students create (sandwich panels\, composites\,
  etc.)\n-  Comparing “your” materials with existing ones and managing
  your own data
