 ject\nWe have developed a low-cost and easy-to-make rechargeable LED lamp\
 , which has potential to replace kerosene lamps in developing countries. T
 he lamp costs USD 2 and is easy to assemble and repair at the village leve
 l. It runs on battery and can be charged using solar PV or a mobile phone 
 charger.\n \nWe started this project in India where we trained 30 people\
 , in 2011 and then the project was improved after the feedback. Our second
  pilot project was done in summer 2013\,  in Africa. We held three worksh
 ops in Kenya and one in Tanzania\, training around 100 people\, which incl
 ude unemployed youth\, women and school children.
