 hall investigate Witt equivalence of function fields of rational conic sec
 tions and try to count as many Witt non-equivalent classes of such fields 
 as possible. The results to be presented rely heavily on a number of theor
 ems published already in the 1930s and provide a new insight to the histor
 y of the algebraic theory of quadratic forms. This is joint work with Prze
 myslaw Koprowski and Murray Marshall.
