United States)\nCall for Papers\nInterfaces play an essential role in many
(bio-)chemical processes\, ranging from solar energy conversion via biolo
gical membrane processes to catalysis. Recent developments in nanomaterial
s highlight the importance of surfaces and interfaces in quantum confined
systems. The detailed study of the physics and physical chemistry at inter
faces and in nanomaterials requires the development of experimental and th
eoretical techniques of ever increasing complexity. New forms of microscop
y\, non-linear spectroscopy and scanned-probe techniques continue to emerg
e in conjunction with sophisticated theoretical methods capable of treatin
g correlated systems of increasing size and over timescales of femto- to n
anoseconds.\nThe intent of this conference is to bring together an interdi
sciplinary group of scientists (from academia\, industry and government la
boratories) who study fundamental processes at interfaces and in nanomater
ials.\nFor the 2014 call\, the scope of the conference will focus on the f
ollowing topics:\n    charge separation at organic\, inorganic\, hybrid
and biological interfaces\n    physical processes in solar energy conv
ersion at interfaces and on nanostructures\n    photophysics of novel p
erovskite-based nanomaterials\n    physical understanding of biological
systems and interfacial processes\n    advanced microscopy techniques
for biophysics\n    single particle tracking of (bio-)nanomaterials\n
confinement effects in nanostructures and nanowires\n    carrier t
ransport in complex nanostructured systems\n    emerging experimental t
ools for biophysics\n    novel spectroscopic tools to probe kinetics of
energy and charge transfer at interfaces\n    advances in modeling of
electronic processes in nanomaterials and at interfaces.\nJoint sessions w
ill be organized with other conferences\, such as “Organic Photovoltaics
XV” and "Organic Field-Effect Transistors XIII".*** Submit your abstrac
