 er-Pink conjecture\, a far-reaching descendent of the Mordell conjecture w
 hich includes the Mordell-Lang conjecture (Faltings's theorem) and the And
 re-Oort conjecture as very special cases. I will describe its connections 
 with Schanuel's conjecture\, as well as functional versions of Schanuel's 
 conjecture which play a key role in certain approaches to Zilber-Pink prob
 lems. This will involve joint work with Jacob Tsimerman and Philipp Habegg
 er.
