  one-day conference\, during which the latest developments in stem cell re
 search and its potential applications are discussed and an exchange betwee
 n interested parties (researchers\, clinicians\, and especially students) 
 is encouraged. Ethical aspects or information on the current legislation a
 re the subject of conference presentations\, even though the main topics o
 f the meeting concern science. The Congress is divided into two keynote le
 ctures of international experts\, several talks of Swiss active researcher
 s and clinicians\, as well as short presentations of selected registered p
 articipants on the basis of their submitted abstracts. In addition\, a pos
 ter session will be held\, which represents an ideal forum for lively disc
 ussions.
