 Student branch is organizing a poster contest open to Bachelor and Master 
 Students who would like to present their semester or master project. The c
 ontest will be held at EPFL in October 2014 (information on te exact date 
 will be provided in September) and a jury of experts will select the best 
 three posters. The winners will participate for free to the IEEE/CAS-EMB B
 iomedical Circuits and Systems Conference 2014. BioCAS 2014 will be held o
 n October 22-24\, 2014\, at the new EPFL Convention Center in Lausanne\, S
 witzerland.\nThe theme of the 2014 edition is a “Breakthrough for Distri
 buted Diagnostics and Therapy”\, highlighting the enormous potential tha
 t Circuits and Systems have in developing distributed diagnostics and ther
 apy.\nThe semester/Maser project can covers a range of topics including bu
 t not limited to:• Biosensor devices and interface\n• Implantable elec
 tronics\n• Telecare systems\n• Wireless and energy harvesting / scaven
 ging technology for medicine\, biology and the life sciences\n• Body are
 a network / body sensor network\n• Lab-on-chip & BioMEMS\n• Bio-inspir
 ed systems\n• Electronics for brain science and brain machine interfaces
 \n• Innovative circuits for medical applications\n• Biofeedback and el
 ectrical stimulation\n• Biosignal processing\n• Biomedical imaging tec
 hnologies and image processing\n• Medical information systems\n• Bioin
 formatics\nThe best poster will be selected according to the quality and o
 riginality of the work\, but also to the effectiveness and clarity of the 
 poster (e.g. how the data are presented). One of the three best posters wi
 ll be selected among exchange students coming from South America\, South A
 frica\, or Japan. The posters should summarize semester or Master project 
 that have been carried out in the academic year 2013/2014.Please register
