 (LIMNA)Abstract:\nNeurons have long axons that can reach up to meter in le
 ngth in humans. Therefore\, these cells face a unique challenge – how to
  spatially regulate various cellular processes at a long distance from the
  nucleus and cell body. In my talk I will discuss two aspects the axonal a
 utonomic functions. In the first part I will present our recent findings o
 n the spatial regulation of neuronal gene expression\, specifically focusi
 ng on the unique features of the axonal transcriptome. In the second part 
 I will show ongoing work on the role of LKB1\, a master regulator of cell 
 metabolism in the regulation of axonal growth and maintenance.Bio:\nJanuar
