DESCRIPTION:Piet & Wim Eckert\nIn the process of architectural design\, we
  engage in three fundamental acts. The act of embodiment becomes a tangibl
 e interpretation of context that gives physical form to an idea about inha
 biting a site. Stratification allows us to superimpose and selectively int
 egrate independent systems. We develop hierarchies and overlay strata of o
 rganization\, program\, structure\, typologies\, and realities that ultima
 tely illuminate possibilities for the spatial expression of architecture. 
 Finally\, as a generator of ideas and a primary architectural endeavor\, w
 e idealize. By selectively excluding requirements regularly confronted in 
 the practice of architecture\, we can overcome the complexities of the “
 real world” and focus on formulating our fundamental interests in archit
 ecture and space.
