 athematics. But the category of smooth manifolds is not closed under many 
 useful operations. In 1980\, J. Souriau introduced a generalization of smo
 oth manifolds called diffeological spaces\, and the theory was further dev
 eloped by P. Igleisas-Zemmour and others. Our goal is to develop a homotop
 y theory (also called a model category structure) on the category of diffe
 ological spaces\, which encodes the usual homotopy theory of smooth manifo
 lds\, and the bundle theory of Iglesias. This is work in progress with Dan
