 am of the Cooperation and Development Center (CODEV) was established in 20
 05 aiming at encouraging scientific cooperation with partners in the globa
 l South through grants awarded in a competitive annual call.\nWith nine ca
 lls launched so far (2006-2014)\, the program has funded 73 projects from 
 EPFL researchers with partners in more than 30 different countries in Afri
 ca\, Asia\, Latin America and Eastern Europe with a total of 721’412 CHF
  granted so far. The projects have promoted technology applications respon
 ding to the needs of local communities in Southern countries.\nDuring this
  first Seed Money Conference\, the results achieved and impact generated b
 y the funded projects will be presented\, and the overall experience of EP
 FL researchers and their partners participating in the program will be dis
 cussed. Also\, the Seed Money Call 2015 will be officially launched.The co
 nference will be followed by lunch for participants. The event is free of 
 charge\, but registration is mandatory since places are limited.
