DESCRIPTION:Martina Rovelli (EPFL)\nFarjoun and Hess introduced twisted ho
motopical categories\, a framework for monoidal categories that come with
a looping-delooping adjunction between nice subcategories of monoids and c
omonoids. This allows a formal theory of bundles. Although much of this ki
nd of structure was inspired by classical constructions and results holdin
g for topological spaces\, it does not not seem possible to construct such
a structure for spaces in a strict sense. Using the work of Milnor and Do
ld\, we will explain that the classifying group functor and (Milnor’s mo
del of) the loop functor behave almost as adjoint functors\, between a cat
egory of nice pointed spaces and nice topological groups.  The argument l
eads to a classification of principal bundles over a fixed space\, as a du
al version of the well-known classification of bundles with a fixed group.
