DESCRIPTION:Vincent Gripon\, Telecom Bretagne\nBio: I am an associate prof
essor (litterally in the french system a "Permanent Researcher") with Tél
écom Bretagne\, one of the top French grande école and part of institut
mines-télécom.\nMy research interests currently include:\n    Associa
tive memories\,\n    Brain inspired algorithms\,\n    Data structure
s\,\n    Signal processing on graphs.\nWe start with three simplifying
hypothesis on brain functioning:\na) brain memory is redundant\,\nb) brain
can be seen as a recurrent neural network and\nc) storage of pieces of in
formation in the brain is located at the scale of populations of neurons.\
nUsing principles of error correcting codes\, we then propose a very simpl
e model for information storage and retrieval thanks to cliques in neural
graphs. We show how this model can be enriched to address complex problems
and its connections to actual neuroanatomical knowledge.
