DESCRIPTION:Oussama Hijazi\nGeometry and Dynamics Seminar\nAbstract: The g
oal of this talk is to illustrate two applications of how Spin Geometry co
uld be used in the study of the geometry of submanifolds (The Alexandrov T
heorem) and in General Relativity (Positive Mass Theorem).\nFor this\, we
start by giving an informal introduction to Spin Geometry\, in particular
to the fundamental Schrödinger-Lichnerowicz Formula for a compact spin ma
nifold with boundary. We then examine spectral properties of Dirac type op
erators and establish some rigidity results. The talk is based on a joint
 work with Sebastián Montiel.
