 of studying embedding spaces into the algebraic problem of studying mappin
 g spaces between En operads\, and their modules. It has been argued that n
 ot much is achieved by this translation\, as the algebraic problem is stil
 l notoriously hard. However\, I claim that progress can be made on the alg
 ebraic side by studying graph complexes which "govern" the deformation the
 ory of the En operads. This talk is based on several joint works with B. F
 resse\, V. Turchin\, A. Khoroshkin and M. Zivkovic\, partially in progress
