  provides indispensable tools for solving complex biological questions. Re
 cently we developed a series of genetically encoded fluorescent sensors fo
 r NADH\, NAD+ and their ratio\, which can be targeted to different cells\,
  various subcellular organelles and animal models and used to monitor and 
 image cellular metabolism with high spatial solutions and in real time.
