 cellent comments we got after its first version\, we are organising a new 
 exiting workshop on “Job-Search outside the University” that will take
  place on January 17th 2015\, from 9:30 AM to 6 PM\, in room AI 1153.This 
 workshop is leaded by Verity Elston\, who conducts ongoing qualitative and
  quantitative research on careers for doctorate holders in Switzerland and
  in Europe.  The workshop reviews the current employment situation for po
 stdocs in Life Sciences and their options in the private and public sector
 s. It helps participants to identify opportunities for a career path outsi
 de the university environment. It consists of a full day of presentations\
 , discussions and practical exercises to explore career development for re
 searchers in the Life Sciences\, in Switzerland and elsewhere.\nThe cost o
 f the course is 100 CHF\, including a coffee break (you will be asked to p
 ay only if there are still spots available).\nPlease take note that lunch 
 is not provided\, so you are expected to bring your own food.\nThe course 
 is for a maximum of 15 people and it's open to the whole scientific SV com
 munity\, however because of the limited number of participants the registr
 ation priority will be given to postdoctoral researchers and to SV-postdoc
