DESCRIPTION:Paul Zinn-Justin\, Jussieu\, Paris\nIn the first part of this 
 talk\, we shall discuss in several simple examples the appearance of an R-
 matrix (in the sense of quantum integrability\, i.e.\, a solution of the Y
 ang--Baxter equation) in a geometric context. We shall eventually explain 
 how these are all particular occurrences of a construction due to Maulik a
 nd Okounkov. In the second part of this talk\, we shall discuss the case o
 f quiver varieties of type A\, and how we derive from those solutions of t
 he quantum Knizhnik--Zamolodchikov equation.
