 Sánchez García\nJosé María Sánchez García is a spanish architect. Bo
 rn in Badajoz\, he graduated in 2002 from the Escuela Técnica Superior de
  Arquitectura de Madrid and he founded his own office four years later. Th
 e restoration of the archeological site Temple of Diana in Merida\, the ce
 nter for sports innovation in Guijo de Granadilla and the rowing center in
  Alange are among his most important projects. His work has been widely pu
 blished and at the same time his practice has gained international recogni
 tion: BSI Swiss architectural award in 2014\, AR+D Architecture Review Awa
 rds in 2009\, among other prizes. He is also associate professor in archit
 ecture at ETSAM. △about 5x3\nThe 5x3 is a cycle of open lectures which a
 ims to present individual practical approaches of architects from differen
 t European countries. Each semester 5 offices are invited to give a confer
 ence.  Each office presents 3 of their projects: the very first one and t
 wo others. Those 3 projects are like milestones that should represent the 
 parcours of the office. The insight into the different working methods and
  the story behind the formation of the office provides a good opportunity 
 to learn about the different ways to start and lead an architectural offic
 e. The 5x3 lectures are organized by EAST/EPFL in collaboration with the F
 orum d’Architecture de Lausanne. △
