 ke Internet of Things\, is currently attracting quite a lot of attention a
 lso in manufacturing and process industries. As a major supplier of automa
 tion systems to these industries\, ABB are naturally involved in developin
 g CPS concepts. For example\, in Germany there is a large national initiat
 ive called Industry 4.0\, thus implying that CPS would be the 4th industri
 al revolution. \nClearly CPS offers many potential applications for autom
 ation\, ranging from engineering to production management and maintenance.
  This talk will give examples of such applications\, but also discuss whet
 her it is really a revolution instead of evolution.
