 on to the ideas of resurgence and transseries. The first half of the talk 
 will review the main technical ideas\, in a rather light and schematic fas
 hion. The second half of the talk will present some applications to simple
  gauge theories\, starting off in the large N limit. Overall\, it will be 
 shown how to use these methods to start at weak coupling and completely un
 derstand the gauge theory\, nonperturbatively\, at (infinitely) strong cou
 pling.
