DESCRIPTION:Dr. Julien Lesgourgues\, EPFL Laboratoire de physique des part
icules et de cosmologie & CERN Theory Division\nModern cosmological observ
ations bring a very consistent picture of the evolution and composition of
our Universe. Some uncertainties remain not only on the nature of its mai
n two components (Dark Matter and Dark Energy)\, but also on several detai
ls of the model (dynamics of the stage called inflation\, number and prope
rties of relic particles in our Universe\, impact of neutrinos on cosmolog
y\, etc.) I will provide a broad review of the status of the field\, and m
ention which kind of spectacular progresses can be expected in the next fe
w years from several on-going sky surveys\, such as high-precision measure
ments of the Cosmic Microwave Background anisotropies by the Planck satell
 ite.
