 lk we will investigate Lorentzian tori $(T\,g)$  admitting a Killing fiel
 d $X$ such that  $g(X\,X)$ vanishes and is not constant (the non elementa
 ry case). For example a Clifton-Pohl torus ie the quotient of $(\\mathbf R
 ^2\\setminus \\{0\\}\, \\frac{2 dx dy}{x^2+y^2}$ by an homothety. Such a t
 orus is never geodesically complete\, the best way to see it is probably t
 o construct non trivial extensions of its  universal cover. We will see t
 hat among these extensions there always exists one all of whose lightlike 
 geodesics are complete and that in the analytical setting this extension i
 s unique.
