DESCRIPTION:Tamara van Gog\, Department of Pedagogical and Educational Sci
ences\, Utrecht University\nIn this talk I will first discuss recent studi
es from my lab on natural gaze guidance in learning from video modeling ex
amples\, in which a human model can be seen demonstrating and explaining h
ow to perform a task. In these experiments we investigated whether or not
seeing the face and gaze of the model would help or hinder learning. Then\
, our work on artificial gaze guidance in eye movement modeling examples\,
which show a screen-capture of the model’s (actions on the) computer sc
reen with his or her eye movements overlaid\, is presented\; more specific
ally we investigate whether or not these are effective for acquiring proce
 dural problem-solving skills.
