DESCRIPTION:For projects in collaboration with French researchers\, in 201
 6 the SNSF is the Lead agency for these joint applications which must comp
 ly with the usual local requirements and the same rules of participation a
 s national projects. Lead Agency applications are evaluated in the same wa
 y and at the same time as normal SNSF applications\; there is no special o
 r additional budget for Lead Agency projects. Applications must address a 
 joint research question and contain a joint research plan. Overlap with on
 going projects should be avoided. It is recommended to contact the respons
 ible SNSF division prior to submission. French partners should inform them
 selves of ANR requirements.\nApplications involving German researchers can
  be submitted in the current form.\nApplications involving Austrian resear
 chers can also be submitted in the current form\, but in the evaluation pr
 ocess a success rate that is yet to be determined will apply.\nTrilateral 
 applications can also be submitted in the usual form\; they will be subjec
 t to the same success rate as the applications with only Austrian partners
 .\nPlease consult the SNSF webpage for further details regarding applicati
 ons with German and Austrian researchers.\nThe final version of the full p
 roposal must be registered on GrantsDB immediately after the deadline. Bas
 ed on these documents\, the Research office will prepare the “institutio
 nal declaration” and send this to the SNSF.
