 nThe European Commission has launched the 3rd edition of the EU Prize for 
 Women Innovators. The competition is open until 20 October 2015.\nThis Pri
 ze aims to raise public awareness on the need for more innovation and more
  women innovators.\nIt will reward three women who have achieved outstandi
 ng innovations and brought them to market.Who can participate? \nThe conte
 st is open to all women who:\n1. reside in an EU Member State or a country
  associated to Horizon 2020\, the EU's research and innovation programme\;
 \n2. have founded or co-founded an active company\, which was registered b
 efore 1 January 2013 and whose annual turnover was at least €100 000 in 
 2013 or 2014\;\n3. have at some point of their careers benefitted from the
  EU's research framework programmes\, the EURATOM Framework Programme\, th
 e Competitiveness and Innovation framework programme (CIP) or actions rela
 ting to research and innovation under the European Structural and Investme
 nt Funds (known as the Structural Funds prior to 2014).
