DESCRIPTION:Through the Cooperation & Development Center (CODEV)\, EPFL ai
 ms to promote and strengthen scientific cooperation for development betwee
 n researchers at EPFL and EPFL partner institutions in emerging and develo
 ping countries.With this in mind\, CODEV established the Seed Money progra
 mme\, which aims to financially support the launch of cooperation projects
  by researchers in all scientific disciplines at EPFL\, in partnership wit
 h academic institutions in the global South.\nSince 2005\, approximately 8
 0 projects have been funded!Main objectives of the Seed Money programme\n	
 	Enable and foster the establishment of collaborative EPFL research projec
 ts with partners from emerging or developing countries with a view to incr
 ease possibilities to leverage further external funding.\n	\n		Support the
  valorization of existing projects (publications\, conferences\, workshops
 \, ….)\nResearch themes\nFree\, but should address key problems that eme
 rging and developing countries are faced with.Who can submit a project\nRe
 searchers from all disciplines and scientific units of EPFL\, in partnersh
