DESCRIPTION:Fonds National Suisse (FNS / SNSF)\nResearchers may submit the
 ir pre-proposals in the frame of the National Research Programme "Antimicr
 obial Resistance" (NRP 72).\nThis Programme is expected to improve our kno
 wledge about the origin of resistance genes and their distribution mechani
 sms\, develop swift diagnostic tools\, analyse new antimicrobial molecules
  and propose intervention measures.\nSince antimicrobial-resistant bacteri
 a are present in human and animal hosts as well as in the environment\, NR
 P is addressing the issue with a one-health approach.\nResearch projects o
 f NRP 72 are limited to a maximum of 48 months. The average budget of a pr
 oject is expected to range between 300\,000 to 400\,000 CHF.\nA two-stage 
 submission procedure is used for NRP 72: Pre-proposals are submitted first
 \, a selection of proposals is then invited to submit a full proposal. The
  Steering Committee expects both proposals to be submitted in English.PNR
